Draft at the brewery taproom during the 2016 RBWG tour. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a slight, foamy white head. Tangy citrus in the nose, tangerine, lemon, mild funk. Light sweet flavour with a dry pale wood note, more lemon, some grapefruit, nectarine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sharply acidic on the finish, with notes of lemon juice, drying oaky notes. Not bad overall.

Keg at the brewery tasting room, 29/01/16. Hazed golden orange with no head ... no looker. Nose is tarte citric shreds, lightly smoked straw, on the turn melon, pissoi. Taste comprises sharp citric peel, funky, acidic bite, damp hay, dry rot, tangy lemon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tarte fruit wash in the close. Ok sour.

On tap at the Hop Grenade. It pours a pale yellow color with a small, dissipating white head. The aroma has some stone fruit, mostly peach and mango with some grapefruit. A little vanilla-like oak. The flavor is super puckering. Lots of grapefruit...much more than the aroma with hints of oaky vanilla. Massive puckering acidity that’s kind of bracing on the palate, but nothing really off. Just bright, clean citric acid. A bit much for me though. I could’ve used a bit more brewers yeast complexity. No off flavors. Refreshing, once you get past the twitch inducing sourness.
