Copper, sort of a chill haze. Lacks foam. Boozy nose but comes across more balanced on the palate -alcohol yes but lots of sweet brown sugar malts. Decent bitterness and spicy hop in the finish but while it is a bit sticky the balance isn't bad.

Tap at Pita Kabob. Slightly hazy orange-cooper with white head and solid lacing. Alcohol heat and cloying malts dominate. Massive resin and pine dominate the hop profile. Moderate bitterness for abv.

Keg at City Beer - SF. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds ripe citrus, melon, alcohol and bread. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, with ample pale bread, melon, honey, booze, oily pine. Full bodied, chewy, and with average carbonation. Resinous and moderately warming in the finish, with more bread, melon, somewhat jammy ripe citrus. Good, if a bit heavy handed. I can’t imagine drinking more than a couple ounces.

Keg at City Beer, SF, first rake of the epic week that was RB best / RBWG ’16, 28/01/16. Rich amber with a well appointed off white cap. Nose is caramel malt, pine, grapefruit, citric zest, toasted bread. Taste comprises orange pith, straw, caramel, booze tunes, candied fruit peel, bubblegum, pine resin. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent DIPA, carries off the booze well.
