Bottle at home. Aroma is dark roasted malt, oak, peat, salty liquorice, salmiak, whiskey, burnt rubber, hint of dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with some roasty bitterness in the finish. A little boozy. Body is above medium. Very heavily peated and oaky Impie Stout with a strong liquorice flavour. Not my favourite variety of BA Stout, but certainly enjoyable with a strong flavour.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Malt, roast, licorice and peat in the aroma. Not agressive, well integrated peat. Full bodied. Malty sweet, well hopped. Roast, grass licorice and peat and iodine getting stronger towards the finish. Warming alcohol. Good!

Draught @ BAF 2016 [ Borefts After Festival: BAF! ] @ Brouwerij Kaapse, Veerlaan 19-D, Rotterdam, Netherlands 3072 AN. [ As Emelisse Black & Tan Port Charlotte BA ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dark malt, peat. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, roasted, peat, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160925] 7-4-8-3-15

Bottle from Saveur Biere. Black beer with small beige head. Aroma has smoked malts, peat, vanilla and some hints of whisky. Taste has smoked malts, peat, vanilla. Very low carbonation, sot and sweet mouthfeel, full body.

33cl Bottle, I think I got it from Sterk. Almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of peat, earth, liquorice root, salmiak, roasted malts, citrus, light floral. Flavour is medium sweet, roasted malts, peat, liquorice root, citrus, passion fruit, earth, toffee, hint of coffee, salmiak, tar, bitter finish. Full bodied, long finish. Lots of peat, not much left of the base beer, but I love it. Blends well with the citrusy hop notes.

zwart met beperkte fijne mooie bruine kraag. aroma van hout, mout, chocolade, turf, pek/teer, zoet, moutig, alcohol, whisky, iodine. Smaken zijn zacht, redelijk zoet, stevig alcoholisch, glad, mooie gebalanceerde zachte whisky, turf, pittig (’t zal de alcohol wezen), je zou er bijna een sigaar bij opsteken om van ’t bier te genieten... redelijke body, alcoholisch, chocolade. mooi

33cl bottle @ home. Black color. Mocha colored head with a thin layer retention. Aroma is mostly band-aid, iodine, peat, light roast, light sweetness, a bit salty. Iodine and peat retronasal, with some fruit and sweetness, some chocolate as well. Flavor is light to moderate sweet, roasted, moderate bitter. Soft mouthfeel. Medium to full bodied. Rather bitter and dry finish, with peat and roast. Pretty damn good.

[9/25/16] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2016 in Rotterdam. Black with a creamy tan head. Roasty aroma with piney hops, wood, some peaty whiskey. Sweet flavor, roasty, with chocolate, caramel, a bit of peated whiskey, coffee. Full-bodied. Very nice and balanced.
