Magnum bottle. Pours with a clear, maple-amber hued body wit a small off-white head. Aromas are malty, maple syrup, spicy rye bread, malty with medium oak notes. Flavors are malty, feels already a bit aged, maple, oak, rye, caramel, toffee, and graham crackers. Medium carbonation, warming finish.

From a snifter at the brewery. Aroma is a blend of caramel, fruit esters including raisin and plum, some vanilla and coconut. There is a bit of alcohol in the aroma. Appearance is a rather murky light brown with just a touch of red to it. Flavor has balanced notes of caramel and vanilla. Oak appears mid palate along with some toasted coconut. Finishes with some bitterness and a low to moderate alcohol note. Mouthfeel is surprisingly silky an creamy. The alcohol is definitely noticeable an warming. As the beer warms it improves greatly. a touch of astringency in the finish from the alcohol. Overall this is really enjoyable and is great as it warms. Poured up on tap at Falling rock. It has a deep mahogany looking body that supports a full lasting tan head of foam. The aroma is earthy and fruit cake sweetness, spicy black licorice and some booze. The taste delivers earthy notes, graham cracker, some chocolate and a bit of roasted maltiness. To midway and into the finish fairly smooth and sweet bourbon barrel notes come to the surface and take this to closure.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty woody whiskey and vanilla aroma. Sweetish malty woody vanilla and caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty woody bourbon vanilla finish.

From bottle. Pours brown, no lasting head. Smooth caramelish and whiskey, wooden and toasted malty. Smooth wooden and dense whiskey. Smooth malty finish.
