Clear brown. Aroma and flavour have plenty of sweet malts and touches of vanilla. It seems fairly simple but is well balanced and easy to drink.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Micah! 2015 vintage batch no. 001. Big whisky forward nose with caramel and dark chocolate. As it warms more raisin and plum notes jump out. Very complex and changing as it comes to room temperature. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel and feels lighter than the abv for sure. Very hard to find the booze. The whisky is subdued on the palate and it feels a little like a Belgian tripel. A fun beer to share with friends. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Gouden Carolus Indulgence 2015 - Whisky Infused on 15 Aug 2016 at 22:46 - Score: 8. Original review text: Caramel, chocolate, huge whisky forward nose.../plum raisin fantastic. Soft body, hides the booze well. Love it!

A reddish brown beer, a head is creamy, medium and beige. Aroma has dark dried fruits, raisin, apricot, prune, some syrup. Taste has riped fruits, prunes, raisins, notes of alcohol with whiskey barrel. Almost full bodied, smooth. Warming in the throat. High-quality, balanced, nice and tasteful beer.

Bottle, thanks Eddan. Clear dark amber with a medium head. Sweet with malt, sugar, caramel and some whisky. The body was full and the finish long. Too sweet.

Medium pale beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Fruity caramelly fudge aroma with toffee notes. Sweetish fruity spicy toffee taste with whisky notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild mouthfeel with slight heat. Sweetish dried fruit and spice aftertaste with whisky notes. An excellent beer. Easy-drinking, full of flavour, complex, and with lots of character. The whisky element is subdued and subtle. (0.75l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen.)
