Pours a dark orange color with small white head. Smell is a bit weird. Can’t really define it, a bit grassy, dirty water, I don’t know... Whatever it is, it’s not very pleasant and it makes me go search for an expiry date on the bottle. This one has an ABV of 6.6% and basically this is what dominates the taste - alcohol. Really, it feels like cheap booze. Very low carbonation adds to this feel. To top it all off, it’s also quite bitter - but in a way that leaves you with bad taste in mouth. Overall, this one is pretty poor. Struggling to finish a bottle. Ugh... I was never a fan of Iron Maiden, but they probably deserve better beer than this. Maybe drinking it straight out the bottle would be easier because that way you wouldn’t have to "enjoy" the disgusting smell with every sip. Avoid. And thank God this one is limited edition.

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Luktet karamell, noe brent og noe bær. Søtlig, brent karamell, alkohol. Kort lett bitterhet i avslutningen.

(Bottle. 0.33 l - BBE Sep 16, from Alko, 20160130) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, sweetness and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A nice English style brew.

Bottle from Alko. Mahogany color with a thin white head. Caramel, sweet dark fruits and some English hops. Flavor has caramel, nuts, toffee notes and dark fruits. Quite sweet. I actually preferred the lighter version.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Pours a fair off-white head with a solid stand leaving rings of lace behind. Clear golden-brown in body colour. An extra score for the lovely bottle label, including the cork showing Eddie the Head. Attractive smell of caramel malts with a backdrop of leafy hops. Toffee and caramel to the fore of the flavour profile joined by a brief buttery twist and with moments of herbal and leafy hops. Smooth bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Drinks very well. Enjoyed listening to Number of the Beast (1982) and Trooper (1983) by Iron Maiden. Good beer, excellent band and great rock tunes (at home in Tromsø 20.01.2016).

Bottle, shared with Višnja (thanks!), Goran and Hrabren. Poured an amber-gold body with a tiny white head. Malty aroma, dried fruit, sweetish. Light taste... mild graininess, perfumey, pear. Light dry bitter finish. Ok balanced really, and not as featureless as some make it out to be (324320432 miles ahead of, say, Doom Bar), but a kinda disappointing beer that by trying not to offend anyone offends people with expectations.

0.33 l bottle from a bottle shop Mateju?ka, Split, Croatia. Clear dark golden with small off white head. Faint malty aroma, biscuit, raisins. Quite alcoholic, presence to strong. Dryness from alcohol. Malty, some bitterness in the finish. Empty and watery.

Bottle: Clear amber with a short, foamy, yellowed-beige head. Sweet caramel aroma. Taste is caramel malt...strangely watery....a touch of biscuit. Really lackluster...flat and plain. Doesn’t have much more punch (if any) than the regular version....cool label, though.

Bottled 330ml. -at Pivkan beer fest. Dark golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild grassy hoppy nose. Moderate malty, grassy, herbal hoppy and fruity with touch of alcohol in rather short finish. Nothing special here.
