Bottle at home courtesy of Mrk. Dark brown and unclear. With light tan head. Big sweet roasted barley malts. Very fruity, grape most, dates, prunes, chocolate and bourbon. Big sweet, light bitter. Full body, low carbonation. Slick oily feel nice thick spiced choco bourbon fruitcake.

Bottle shared thanks to Mrk. Dark brown with small beige head. Bourbon up front, light milk chocolate, lots of berries, sweet Port wine, older Bordeaux wine, marzipan, toffee. Very sweet and just medium bitter. Full bodied. Great complexity and balance, love it.

Looks like a stout. it’s almost black. smells like bleach! NOOOO why? The flavor is actually good if you hold your nose. brown sugar candy at the end. rough beer.

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is airy and smooth, decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, mild creamy sweetness. Nice tangy fruity bourbon. Mild vanilla and a trace of wood. Touch of chocolate. Tangy bourbon finish. Very BA but smooth and dangerously drinkable.

Bottle 330 ml. Dark brown with ruby color. Aroma: barrels, vanilla, bourbon, liquor, a lot of malt, plum wine. Taste: plum wine with vanilla, bourbon and oak, raisins, dried fruit. Awesome.

Draught @ CBC 2016 [ Yellow Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016, Oksnehallen Vesterbro, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 Copenhagen, Denmark. [ As Lervig Barley Wine 2017 ].ABV: 12.5%. Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, roasted, dark malt, oak, moderate dried fruit - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, oak, dark malt, wood, alcohol, sweet malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20160513]

Dark brown color, beige head that very quickly dissapears. Aroma has notes of molasses and caramel. Flavor is sweet, caramelish with ripe fruit notes and a good presence of alcohol. Mild sweetness in the final with a smoothy and dense mouthfeel.

Tap at Oedipus fest. Delicious aroma of bourbon vanilla, malt and raisiny ripe fruit. Rich flavor of smooth bourbon vanilla, caramelised malt, raisin, ripe fruit and a long soothing finish. Fantastic.

Draft at Oedipus International Beer Festival. Cloudy dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak barrel, vanilla, molasses, toffee, overripe dark fruits and malt. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
