Sampled at Billies Craftbeerfest 2017. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Don't mind the visual info to much, as lighting was really bad. Pours dark amberbrown, small white head. Smell is creamy, intense caramelly malts. Taste is sharp, tad bitter, boozy, caramelly. Too boozy to me.

(Thank you!) Sampled draft @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2017. Very dark brown. Nose is lovely boozy vanilla bourbon oak, bit hot varnish. Taste is lovely chocolate sweet bourbon vanilla, low dark fruit, low hot alcohol varnish, slightly lesser but really great tastes like a great Bourbon BA RIS and not a Barley Wine but who cares when it tastes this good?

2/XII/17 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2017-2061) Thanks to the Belgian, Dutch and German ratebeerians for sharing today's beers!
Clear amber to brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: malty, lots of alcohol, soft roast, some dried fruits, bit acidic, some jam, sweet. MF: soft carbon, medimu to full body. Taste: very sweet, alcohol, caramel, malty, dried fruits, lovely stuff going on here. Aftertaste: alcohol, caramel, vanilla notes, fruity, very nice stuff!

Bottle @ Ölrepubliken. Very dark brown pour with a small frothy tan head. Prunes, raisins, dates, caramel, toffee, vanilla, oak & bourbon in the nose. Sweet, malty & fruity taste. Oily viscous round mouthfeel. Delicious!

Keg at The Pint Shop, Oxford, Saturday 4th March 2017in the company of John, Ian and Glen. Pours black with a tiny white rim. This is like a low carbonation cola on steroids. It’s a bit too sweet for me, however it’s interesting beer, though as others mentioned it’s a very dark beer. Not totally my thing. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

33 cl bottle @ RIP Laru camp. BBE 18.02.2026
Rather dark appearance for a BW. Aroma has woody malt typical to BWs. Also some bourbon sweetness and vanilla. Flavour has strong bourbon tones, sweet malt, vanilla and woody notes. A bourbon overdose and too sweet-n-sticky, drinkability suffers.

330ml bottle from Kihoskh. BBE 18/02/26. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tiny head. Aroma of syrup, bourbon, vanilla, oak, coconuts and hints of berries. Taste is sweet, sticky and syrupy with some oak, toffee, vanilla, plum, butter and berries. Finish is sweet, boozy and malty with some syrup, oak, hints of plum, butter and berries. A bit disappointing compared to the previous Lervig barley wines.

Süß malziger Geruch. Süße, leicht alkoholische Noten, Getreide, Kakao, weich. Honig, intensiv nach Karamell. Erstaunlich süffig. Zum Ende nach wie vor Karamell, der Alkohol hält sich zurück. Gut. 10/12/12/10/9/12
