Sampled from tap at the Oedipus International Beer Festival 2016. Hazy, dark red with a thin beige layer. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, molasses and red fruits. Sweet, malty and a little fruity taste of caramel, molasses, raisins and red fruits, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a little alcoholic finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016 - Yellow session, as Barley Wine 2017. Dark brown color with beige head. Malty aroma, caramel, dark dried fruits, wood, light alcohol. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Tap at speakeasy. Pours dark brown. Aroma is sweet, boozy, bourbon, malt, vanilla,. Flavor is sweet and bitter, bourbon, vanilla, malt, caramel. Overall: great brew, very barrel driven, more bourbony than 2015.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Aarhus. Pours dark brown with a small light brown head. Aorma of sweet malt, caramel, wood, oak, light vanilla, little bourbon, dried fruit, alcohol. Flavor is rather sweet, malt, caramel, sweet bready, wood, oak, vanilla, bourbon, dried fruit, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft carbonbation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. 260516

On tap at Speakeasy, Tallinn. Clear dark chestnut coloured with a modest, beige head. Malty aroma with lots of caramel, some vinous notes, dark dried fruits, slightly nutty and hints of brandy and wood. Fairly sweet, but still balanced - complex, flavourful and vinous with tannin-like notes. Quite delicious sipper.

[5/13/16] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. Yellow session. Dark brown. Great aroma of caramel, cookies, vanilla, a bit of chocolate. Sweet flavor with caramel, cookies, nuts, vanilla, some chocolate. Rounded mouthfeel. Great stuff.

CBC2016. Trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach roten Früchten, Karamell, bourbon. Geschmack sehr malzig, süß, bourbon, Vanille, reife Früchte, leicht alkoholisch.
