Beer inspired by the Grodzisz style, the only completely Polish style, produced in Wielkopolska, whose traditions most probably date back to the Middle Ages. A classic, light, strongly sparkling beer based on wheat malt smoked oak wood.

Bottled. Pours clear yellow with thicc, everlasting white head. Nose is faint smoke, low acidic sourness. Taste is smokey, citric, moderately tart. Light bodied with lively carbonation.

Keg at Maryensztadt taproom/restaurant, Warsaw, 15/07/19. Pale yellow with a decent off white cap. Nose is lemon rind, light smoke, straw, grass, herb. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, smoked malts, grains, herb, light oaked tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

Draught @ Kontynuacja, Wroclaw Aroma has smoke, ash and some worty notes. Flavour has smoke, worty notes, wheat and tobacco. A solid grodziskie!

16-05-19 // taster at Maryensztadt Craft Beer & Food in Warsaw. great start. Very pale yellow. Nose mild smokey ham. Taste is light bodied, light wheat, light fruit and mild smokey meat. Refreshing.

Sample from tap @ Salón piva in Bratislava (1st. day). F: big, snow-white, good retention. C: straw, hazy. A: nice mild smoked tones, bit smoked meat, salty, bit fruity touch. T: light malty base, bit salty mineral, light smoked tones, dry on the palate, light body and lower carbonation, very good for the style, fully enjoyed.
