TIAPORO
Tiaporo is an "India pale ale" beer. Strongly hopped, it presents a copper red color and a beautiful white foam. 5 varieties of hops are used to compose a fruity bouquet of aromas. We can find various notes of citrus, peach or apricot. On the palate, this beer of character is very strong in bitterness and will delight the tasters.
Our artisanal beers are available in limited edition 33cl bottles.

Quite deep amber and bronze coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, light nuts, earth and a dose of very subdued and grainy hops, without much bitterness or punch. Medium-bodied; Strong malty notes with a lot of caramelised sugars and nuts that show some grassy and citrus characteristics with a dash of earth and light grain and biscuity notes, all from the malt, with a dash of yeast and a hint of the light hops that have no alpha acids. Aftertaste shows the sweetness from the caramelised sugars first and foremost with a light grainy finish and a touch of yeast, grass, hay and more malt that show that side of things way more than any hops at all. Overall, a malt-centric beer that shows a bit of hops, but not much in terms of bitterness or character. This was nice to try as it was a 'valid' attempt at a 'craft' beer, but in terms of execution, not so great. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Super U, Are, in PaoPao, Mo'orea, French Polynesia on 27-July-2019 for XPF490 sampled at my hotel room here in Mo'orea, P.F. on 28-July-2019 while experiencing Winter in Paradise.

2/VI/19 - 33cl from a trade, shared @ home, BB: 2/VII/19 - (2019-795) Thanks to Rubin77 for the trade!
Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, falls down quickly. Aroma: malty, caramel, bit soapy, floral, not a proper ipa. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft bitterness in the start, bit fruity, some citrus, bit oxidized, orange peel, malty, some caramel. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, citrus touch, floral, bit grassy, malty, grains, cow fodder. Not the worst ipa, considering where it comes from. :p Probably a huge eye-opener for the local people in Tahiti. Or maybe they consider it an abomination to beer. :p

F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, clear. A: malty, toast, toasted onion, bit citrus. T: malty, vaguely citrus, toast, bit more bitter yet I don’t feel IPA style here, vaguely fruity, bit passion fruits, medium body and mineral carbonation, nothing special yet clear taste at least, 33cl bottle from Champion Moorea supermarket in Moorea.
