Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is nicely smoked malt with some roast, caramel, smoked meat. Nicely bitter, bit sticky sweet but not too much at all. Good body, tasty Rauch Doppel Bock as expected from this brewer.

Fles 33cl thuis. Flink rooksmaak, zoet, licht fruitje, kruidig, malttonen, bokzoetje, oily, citrustonen. (29-2-2020).

Rauchiger Beginn mit eher wässrigem Hintergrund. Geringe Herbe, etwas bitter, Teer. Trocken rauchiger Mittelteil, leicht herb zum Ende. Okay. 10/9/10/9/8/9
33cl bottle from a trade with bierkoning. A clear reddish brown beer with a white lacing. Aroma of smoked malt, caramel, grains. Taste of sweet caramelized malt, nuts, caramel, red fruits.

Bottle at drie dorstige herten. Aroma of nice german rauchmalz, caramel, ripe fruit and malt. Taste has german rauch, malt, ripe fruit, caramel and some dates. Tasty.

330ml bottle, thanks to MonsterMagnet for this new brewery! Pours a deep rosy reddish mahogany, good off-white head. Crisp smoky bacon nose, continuing to taste with some caramelised hints and fruity moments alongside a nice smooth malt-led character. Not too full bodied, just right.

Dark reddish brown, small head, aroma is smokey, smokey ham, malt, fruity, taste same, bittersweet, nice

Bottle. Color: Dark copper, off-white head. Aroma: Smoke, caramel, malty. Taste: Moderate tp medium sweetish caramel, malty, brown sugar notes with clearly present yet subtle smoke, smoked meat. Moderate bitter, somewhat more bitterness at finish. Medium to above medium body, below average carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel. Definitely better than all those 'standard' sweetish caramel malty bocks, but too much sweetness and could have het a little more smoke to be a decent Rauchbier. A decent Doppelbock / Rauchbier hybrid.

Nice, fat doppelbock, with caramel, Koetjesrepen. Malty sweet, hint of beechwood smoke.
