Scrumpy is an old English term for a farmhouse cider. Ours is made simply from the organic apples with their naturally occurring wild yeast, grown in our orchards. The same orchards that have been in our family for over 150 years.
This original estate cider has a fresh and juicy apple aroma and leaves a crisp and clean finish.

Clear gold and no head. Aroma of apples, sour, a bit vinous. Medium bodied and super smooth. Flavor is full of apple, sweet sugars, a bit of caramel sugars. Sweet, light tart finish. Pretty tasty sweet cider.

Bottle from Lighthouse, enjoyed in the beer garden. Very nice, fruity cider, not too swet, and not too dry. Not quite as fruity as their Solstice cider.

Deep gold with no head. Fresh cider aroma. Very sweet apple flavor. Light and refreshing despite it’s heavy sweetness. Simple, flavorful.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow-golden color with a small soapy white head that faded quickly. The aroma was tart, sour, tangy and dry apples. The flavor was tart and tangy with a sweet apple presence and hints of cinnamon and honey. Medium finish and body. Tasty.

Pous cloudy light caramel color with off white head. Sweet apple aroma. Flavor is very sweet apples with some doughy yeast. Medium body with average carbonation and a syrupy mouthfeel. I prefer my ciders light and crips. This was way too sugary sweet and syrupy for me.

bottle shared by thedm and hotstuff - Pours slightly hazy yellow with a hint of green. It smells really good with very fresh, sweet apples. There’s a full, sweet apple flavor that is a little sweeter than I’d like, but it’s light, refreshing and good. Nice cider.

Freah cut apple aroma. Clear golden. Medium bodied, well balanced flavor of apples. Not complex, but masterfully well done.

Bottle: Pale translucent yellow with no real head. The nose is bright with apples, cinnamon, caramelized sugar, and hints of fresh baked apple pie. Upon first taste I can again sense the fresh baked pie, down to a crispy crust. More fresh apple and more cinnamon. Son of a bitch! This can’t be organic, it tastes too damn good. On a side note, I have had few ciders to compare this with that were any good. So... for the time being, a higher rating is due for this delicious treat. Really, if you dig it, give it props.
