Fra fat på restaurant-delen av bryggeripuben 6 Mar 2015. Aprikosfarget. Lavt skum. Beskjeden aroma av gress. Smaken er gress & mais. Holder seg slik. Grei pils - men ikke mer.

(Draught at Bryggeri Helsinki, Helsinki, 30 March 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with bread, citrus, grass and lemon peel. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, citrus, grass, a touch of grapefruit and a fresh, citric bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty pilsener with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

Taster at the brewery, summer 2013 from notes. I thought I’d rated this already... my least favorite of the set. It poured a fairly clear light gold with a minimal head and a herbal grassy aroma. The taste was kind of rough - bleh I like Suomenlinna’s Pils better. This had a lingering astringent bitterness.

330ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Grain, straw and grass in the aroma. Lemon, grain and biscuity malt feature in the taste. Feels a bit ’green’ in many ways, but it’s certainly drinkable.

Smell of malt, straw. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, straw, some hops. Slightly papery also. Soft and mid-flat carbonation. Medium bitter. Finishes with a faint of orange peel. Decent pils.

Tap at the Brewpub. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Rather tasty actually.

Bottle @ home [thanks to Hermod / Euro Swap 5]. Clear golden color, average sized white to off-white head that diminishes quickly but leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is very malty, grainy and malty bitter. Taste has a lot of malts and grains as well and also again that malty bitterness. It appears that the full maltyness also gives the beer a medium body (which is more than the ordinary pilsener has iimo), while carbonation is suitable. Clearly different from most other pilseners I’ve drunk so far.
