On tap at Baird - Harajuku, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma has a pretty washed lit hop character, light earthiness and dusty bready malt. Flavour has a bit better of a hop expression, with earthy hops, bready malt, and some straw. Not the best hop expression but it's drinkable enough.

Keg at Harajuku taproom. Orange colour with small golden head. Aroma is bitter, fruity, particularly grapefruit, other citrus too, and that cat pee/b.o. smell you sometimes get with high hop beers. Taste nice and bitter, but not as much as the aroma. Very nice in that hop monster way.

On tap at Oslo. Pours a bright orange hue with a medium white head. A nice soft perfume and sweet nose. Sweet tropical hops, soft biscuit, some perfume. Light, sweet, solid.

Hazy gold, thin head. Honeyish, nectary sort of hops on the nose. Very floral, moderate bitterness at best, just a very nice drinkable pale. Honeyish, moreish finish.

Bottle. Pours nice hazy, orange, initially a huge head that comes down slowly. Aroma is typical Baird, soft, malty, fragrant hops. Immensely enjoyable and hinting me what is to come. Taste has some strong malt body covered with edgy hop blanket. Nice fruitiness mixed with bitter freshness. Ending up in a dry and bitter note. Really well made, highly enjoyable.

On tap at Harajuku Taproom May 2014. Aromas of pineapple, papaya and passion fruit with a slight hint of wild strawberry. Compared with a hop bouquet on the nose, but taste is simply bitter. Which is fine, I was just hoping to be surprised a little more I guess. Nice bitter pale ale with a hop bomb bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Havoc Imperial Pale Ale on 11 May 2015 at 00:32 - Score: 7

Bottle 330ml from CBB take out. 6.5% Served in a pint glass at home. A semi-cloudy gold pour with a big filmy head that leaves decent lacing plus a long-lasting film coating the beer. A really good, rich aroma of floral/tropical fruit notes. Medium bodied but with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. The taste is sweet, piney, fruity and has a solid malt profile giving it some sweet biscuit and caramel notes. A very solid IPA.

pineapples, apples, pine, fairly yeasty. Rounded and smooth. Decent without being outstanding. Update; May 2013 - Certainly hoppier and better this year and last year. Rating reflects this change.

Bomber. Huge citrus hop aroma, fruit salad, grapefruit, pineapple, melon. Cloudy amber color. Clean, light, malt flavor with big bitterness. Grapfefruit zest. Dry, light, and very nice.
