Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grainy wheat malt with light dry notes. Taste is also a mix of grainy wheat malt notes with some dry notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Grainy malt notes make for an uninteresting weizen.

Draft at Koyoen Kitte by Nagoya Station. Milky light gold with a thick head. It’s got a clean clove & lemony citrus aroma which I like. However, the taste is pretty rough: cardboard, waterlogged crackers, citrus zest and just a faint hazy memory of cloves. What a letdown.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale yellow, cloudy, with a thin, fine, white head. Banana and peach aroma, faint, but it’s too cold. Malty, fruity flavor with light weizen character—some banana, but more citrus and peach. Low spice. More of a wheat ale. Clean, crisp and light, with somewhat high carbonation and a slightly bitter finish. Ok. No real problems, but a bit boring.
