Pours an amber from a bottle, a middling IPA, not bad, not awesome, I’d reach for something else I knew was better before grabbing this, but I’d grab this before grabbing something I knew I didn’t like.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden orange to brown color with a decent looking one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing was somewhat an odd mess of sorts and mainly slides into the body.
The smell had some bitter citrus to piney hops that allowed some light malts to enter in after a bit of warming.
The taste was mainly malty sweet as it seemed to have let the hops fade into the background.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sharpness pounding my tongue into submission.
Overall, this was a worthy IPA of having again.

Draft at The Grill Next Door. Light amber or copper in color with soapy head, no lace. While I’m talking about soap, it kind of has that aroma. Was this pint glass rinsed out properly? The answer is yes, it was rinsed out, that just the beer.

Sample at Willimantic Brewing Co. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, earthy malt and a bit of pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a resiny hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours hazy copper with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is mixed resin/citrus. About med body. There’s a light malt backbone, but mostly this is hoppy. Spicy/citrus followed by resin. Even a little floral I think. It also has something suggesting Belgian yeast/spice floating along the background. Maybe the hops are spicier than I thought.

My wife brought this one back from a trip to Rochester. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a huge creamy orange-white head that lingered forever and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasty caramel and light pine. The flavor was tangy and a bit sour with notes of caramel, nut, pine and lemon. There was a faint butterscotch undertone. The finish was medium length tangy caramel and pine. Medium body. Ok.

Tap. Light grass aroma, amber, lacing head. Bready, grassy, light earthy hop counterpoint. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. Avearage.

Location: Draft at Hop Devil, 7/17/10
Aroma: Some orange and citrus, with bread, and caramel malts
Appearance: Pours an amber color with a small beige head
Flavor: Taste is medium sweet balanced by some bitterness
Palate: Light-medium body with a slightly sticky and alright mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This beer wasn't particularly exciting or impressive. Pretty much the definition of a mediocre pale ale. I don't have too much to add other then that. Forgettable, but not terrible. One of those beers where a few words is probably plenty.

Draught in the Logan Airport. Earthy aroma with grassy hops and chocolate. Chocolate and caramel flavor with rich malt and lighter hops than the nose leads one to expect. Smooth, rich palate and a decently bitter finish with some fruit and citrus hop. Nicely balanced and sessionable.
