Tap at Himalaya Table. Wheaty floury, dry. Exactly what you'd expect, but maybe all the better for it. Wheat, light bitterness, crisp finish. Decent. Little bit sweet.

On tap at the 2015 Tanabata Fest, shame these guys are getting buildozed for the sake of an unnecessary highway out in the sticks. Hidatakayama Pilsner on tap at the Toyama fest. It pours a light gold with an impressive thick fluffy head. A grainy sweet light malt with a noble hop aroma, herbal bitterness. Solid & clean.

Draught at the Tanabata Beer Festa Toyama, 2010. Rather light, thin, North German style. A bit watery. Hops slightly lacking, well, not much aroma, at least, but ok bittering. Ok but boring and thin.

35 cL can, courtesy of Theis. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is distinct citrusy and grassy. Citric and fruity. Mild bitterness and sweet fruity impression into the finish.

Can. An unclear yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of yeast, soap, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemon, dust, malt, and metal, leading to a dry metallic finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

Can 35 cl. Pours an opaque pale yellow with a dense white head. Sweet malty nose, a little citrus as well. Lightly yeasty nose, again with a whiff of citrus. Medium body, dry maltiness, again yeast and then some flowery hops leaving a dry bitterness. I would say this is a Zwickel. 250610

Bottle. Hay and grass aroma pale golden creamy head Hayisch malt, dry bottom, grassy with a few corn flowers. Medium body, chewy enough, but also ever so slightly sticky. No doubt leagues better than the usual pale lagers here, but I feel they are holding back.

Way too pale, way too few hops and way too grassy for me. Disappointed. Tasted at Yokohama GJBF

Small offwhite head. Slightly hazy yellow body. Light musty aroma of spice and acidity. Taste is bitter resin, somewhat acidic, with paper notes. Thin, chalky mouthfeel. Acidic citric paper aftertaste. Not really very successful. (0.5l bottle.)
