A fruity Belgian ale. Amber in color and medium-bodied, this ale offers that familiar tart character contributed by the Belgian yeast. Also available in bottles.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear amber with about a finger of white head. Aroma of orange, bubblegum, wheat and banana. Taste is pretty much the same. Very light sweet. Light bodied with lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not bad but not that good either. Probably for the best that this one is done.

Bottle. Light yellowish brown color. Low, fine head. Cloudy as hell. Yeasty malt aroma, very Belgian, a little fruity. Malty, fruity, spicy flavor, with lots of yeast. Big. Peppery, almost smoked. Rather sweet. Good stuff -- a decent American-made Belgian Saison. Not exactly spectacular, but very good.

bottle - Pours slightly hazy light amber with minimal head. The aroma is of yeast and malt with a touch of fruit and alcohol. There’s a sweet malt flavor with mild hops and yeast, a touch of spice, and some mild dryness. Pretty good.

12oz bottle.. Pours nicely with a hazy orange-straw color. Aroma is kind of a thick marmalade dustiness. With a slightly too -young esters coming through. Taste is that a bit overly fruity esters with a yeast-y doughy and sweet finish. Its pretty decent but a bit young and well... like one would expect from a 6-pack of Saison (is it wrong for me to conceptualize it that way?). It’s a good beer but needs a bit of tweaking.

courtesy of hwwty4. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is yeasty, with spices (coriander). Taste is yeasty and fruity (orange), this one has all the notations of a wit bier, did not really see a saison here. A very nice brew, drinkable. Just confused on the whole saison style.

12 fl oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Lukas, Kansas City, Missouri. Pour is a hazed golden orange with a nice 2 inch white head. A few carbonation bubbles. Nice patchy lacing left behind as head falls. Aroma of herbal, clove, lemon peel citrus and grassy wheat. Some sweet perfume sour present as well. Nice, complex nose. The taste features the cloves, lemon peel and wheat, at the expense of the floral grassiness. Taste is good, just expected a bit more softness and integration after the nose. The aftertaste is bitter, with more of the herbal cloves. Palate is medium, and pretty lowly carbonated. Overall, a nice Saison.

Hop in the City: Nicely done. A tart aroma of spice back the flavors of peppery clove and fruit — orange peel and citrus. Dry finish. Light to medium body. This was quite a refreshing beer.

Pours a cloudy orange. Aroma is very flowery and yeasty. Flavor is excellent. Very fruity and yeasty with some bitterness at the end. There is actually a very strong banana flavor. My first Saison and if this is even run of the mill for saison’s then I am hooked.
