Tap at Watering Hole. Dark amber colour, small golden head. Not much smell, bit of apple but can't get the cinnamon, quite sweet. Taste is alright, apples again, sweet, very slight spice in the background. Maybe slight mulled wine taste. Pumpkin type body. Nice enough, by maybe past it's best. Rerate 25/10/13 Taste is very brown bread, and tea. Not so much apple. Little cinnamon burn. Alright. Aroma is very grainy. No change in the score.

Received as a gift. Sorry, I can’t drink this. For me this is horrible apple and cinnamon taste that I can’t take. Drain pour.

On tap at 2014 Fall Keiyaki at Saitama Super Area. I had what I thought to be reasonable expectations for this, but could not hang. Amberish brown color with a small light beige head. Strong aroma of cinnamon with slight hints of apple and persimmon. Maltiness present on the palate with a medium body and medium carbonation. Dry finish. Disappointing.

Small pour on draft at Raku Beer. Hazy amber with off-white head. Aromas of cinnamon, light fruit. Tastes of cinnamon, light caramel, vanilla, subtle apples. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

I finally tried this fall ale on tap at Marciero last October and was a bit disappointed. It was a nice lightly spiced ale but had virtually no apple flavor though the cinnamon came through. Once it warmed up to room temperature there may have been a hint of fruitiness. It seemed popular with ladies as it is light, refreshing & drinkable just not as much apple as I expected from the name.

Bottle. Bright, deep amber-red color with a thick, one-finger head. Sweet, spicy aroma of apple cider and cinnamon. Some caramel and amber malt in the background. Citrus in there too, as well as some nutmeg. Really smells like apple pie or mulled cider. Relatively restrained, though. Sweet, spicy flavor, big cinnamon and caramel with chocolate. Apple is quite in the background. There is a bit of a sour tinge, plus a decent amount of bitterness in the finish. Actually, the finish is very bitter for such a sweet dessert beer. Makes it easy to drink, since it would be cloying without it. Rather rich, full body too. A remarkable well done beer. I really like it, even though generally don’t go for this kind of thing.

Copper color. Gentle apple aroma. Mouth is light, spicy apple pie with just a touch of citrusy hops, but very balanced for what it needs to do. Lingering apples and cinnamon in the finish. This really surprised me, as the name alone wouldn’t really make me to want to drink this beer, but it is very well executed and I could see being a hit with some people. As good as an Apple Cinnamon beer can get

Pours a copper amber color with a small head. Strong cinnamon aroma with sweet malts, and light apples. Very much a kitchen after baking an apple pie. Smooth and medium bodied. Intense cinnamon flavor right from the start. Following comes light apples, dough, and sweet malts. Surprisingly tasty, though one is enough.
