Tap at Local Option, Chicago. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grassy hop pine needle leading to a medium bitter flavour with a crisp sharp grass nettle hop yeast palate with hints of toothpaste mint on the back of the throat.

On tap at Toronado (SF). Pours a nice medium amber with a soapy white head, a film of fine bubbles. The aroma is pretty standard green flash hoppiness. Good citrus hops with a nice honey malt backbone. Some tropical fruits also pop up with a touch of sweet wood in the background. Taste adds a lot more cedar. Hops are a bit bland but the cedar flavor is really nice. It’s like I’m drinking an IPA in a cedar closet. Relatively dry. The cedar contributes a very pleasant flavor that blends into the hop bitterness quite well. Mouthfeel is pretty normal. Medium carbonation. Mild astringency from the wood. Better than expected. I really like the cedar.
