DBA—a.k.a. Double Barrel Ale—is the trailblazing flagship beer that started it all for us back in 1996. Partially fermented in our patented Firestone Union oak-‐barrel brewing system, DBA quickly took the Central Coast by storm and set the pace for future beers to come. Today, DBA is regarded as a California classic, and stands as an iconic tribute to traditional cask-‐fermented English ales. Pale malts create a smooth middle with ribbons of caramel, English toffee and toasted oak.

355ml bottle into shaker. Crystal clear golden marmalade coloured beer with two finger creamy head and light fine carbonation. Nose light malt and toast. Taste is smoky malts, a little spritz on the tongue. Smooth texture. Finish is more toast with a little vanilla and woody dryness. Good bitter, very drinkable.

Can bought at Piccadilly Tap. The noisy pour reveals a fawn-coloured head and a bright dark amber body. Minimal lacing. Dark spiced fruity nose. Mixed taste of wood, leafy hops and earthy malts. Bittersweet finish, dry. Soft on the swallow. Pleasing. (Hotel Room, Norwich 07.07.2017).

Bottle. Color: Amber, off-white head. Taste: Starting more to the medium sweet side, with notes of caramel and bread. Quickly changing more to the hopbitter side. Floral hops. Pretty long lasting bitter spicy finish with dry mouthfeel. Nice ESB. Above medium carbonation and body.
