1 pint can from Kaffee Bazaar webshop. F: huge, tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: rich dark malts, coffee, herbal, nutty, tobacco, spicy, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate. T: full malty base, light oily mouthfeel, chocolate, spicy, nutty, biscuits, herbal, caramel, nice balanced bitterness, coffee, cocoa, soft to medium carbonation, really great as I expected, fully enjoyed.

Su color negro intenso al verterlo en la copa es casi embaucador. Densa con espuma de color tostado oscuro que desaparece muy rápido. Aroma a maltas asadas, granos de café, vainilla, algo de coco. Sabor con notas ligeramente dulces, notas licorosas, maltas torrefactas, ciruelas maduras. Final con intensas notas a café, chocolate negro, leve amargor. Una cerveza muy top.

22oz (Chris R.!) @ Andrey's. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, chocolate cookies, moderately sweet. Taste: along the same lines, some roasted notes. Overall: good.

No head, beer pours as black syrup. Chocolate, bit of tobacco, liquorice, less than the Westbrook variant. Sweet & black chocolate, hints at booze, whilst finish is almost pure black chocolate. Dry and burning with a fiery finish. Quite good stout, certainly in the pastry cabardouche.

30/11/2020. Bottle courtesy of Nisse666. Pours thick, black with a deep tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, treacle, molasses, toasted almond, nut, biscuit. Moderate sweetness, medium to heavy roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Rich, warming alcohol finish. Lovely sipper, to help while away another lockdown evening.

Bière 75 cl achetée chez bière des halles à Wazemmes. Robe foncée aux reflets bruns à la lumière, façon coca cola. Nez sur la chicorée. Bouche ronde sur le chocolat, un délice à servir en dessert ! (M)
