Tap at Joyful Honda in Utsonomiya. Amber coloured, small golden head. Aroma is malty, lightly spicy, biscuits. Taste is good. Slight creamy, hint of spice, fruity too, caramel. Both preston tap beers here tasted very fresh.

Pours brown, quite clear with very little foam. Aroma is sweetish and malty, light caramel. Taste is quite smooth and a bit watery. Ok, true, this beer only has 4 percent abv, so I should not expect too much. Bitterness comes out at the end and lingers for a bit. Not as bad as I was afraid if, I can drink this.

On tap at Craft Beer Base. I agree with the other reviews, it is a nice average all around brown ale. It has a smooth malt taste with some bitterness. Decent.

Draught at Popeye, Tokyo. Clear mahogany colour, no head. the aroma holds fruity black currant and aging butter. medium bodied with strange oily mouthfeel. Notes of artificial strawberries, band aid and peas. Low bitterness. A letdown.

Draught at Castle West. Dark amber to medium brown color, with a fine, creamy head. Sweet, malty aroma with some nuts and roasted marshmallows. Flavor of caramel and chocolate. Ok, sweet and malty, though better balanced and cleaner than the first time I tried it. A bit too sweet, though enjoyable enough.

An interesting brown brew that had strong fuji apples and fig notes along with the malty backbone and caramel flavors. Not over the top, but respectable.
