Draft: Poured a dark amber to brown with red edges, head wad tan and laced down to form a ring. Aroma is rich malts, but earthy. Taste is malty, chewy, light bitterness.

Bottle from CBB, served in a snifter 5% a dark reddish brown with just a whisp of a beige head. A fruity vegetal aroma that brings to mind fruitcake. Very fruity, I get some menthol and a bit of cocoa dark maltiness. Medium bodied but I’d say somewhat undercarbonated. The taste is dark malt bitterness, a bit of fruit, a sour tang - not bad but not balanced it seems disjointed. My homebrew Cranberry Christmas Porter is better than this. As it warms up you get some fudge, nuttiness and chewy malts which kicked it’s score up a bit.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Aroma: caramel malts, fruit, menthol, pine. \Dark brown color with orange and a huge tan head. Rich caramel malt flavor, chocholate, dry wood. Not very well roasted for a porter. Somewhat sour, slightly burnt, slightly medicinal finish. Not bad but a bit strange. Not like any porter I ever had before.
