Bottle from Hasegawa. Light citrus and grass notes on the nose. Above average carbonation with a light body. Some light pine and more citrus on the palate. Slightly harsh bitter finish. Unbalanced but not terrible. Pretty standard.

A dark golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy fruits, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, citrusy fruits, hops, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

5.5% on sale at Kyoto’s Yodobashi Camera supermarket. It pours a clear dark gold & had a hint of funk in the aroma. The flavor was a nice pine & floral hop taste over a sweet malt base. A solid pale ale with a nice crisp bitting bitter finish, really refreshing on a hot day like today.

Fruity, sweet, buttery aroma. Cherries, citrus, pine, butterscotch. Medium to dark copper color, lace. Peppery hops in the mouth, with caramel, toffee, citrus, pine. Long lasting, dry, prickly hop finish, with residual caramel. Quite hoppy indeed. Sweetness that is in the nose all but disappears in the mouth, and it ends up a bit too bitter.

Pours deep golden with a rocky, off white head. Light on the citrus, mainly grapefruit, with grass and floral being the stronger player. Caramel malts form a solid backbone. Pleasent. Body is thick for a APA. Hefty bitterness on the tongue, even though the hops don’t seem to add much to the flavor. Has more malt flavor than hops. Some real light grass and citrus. Finish is pretty bitter and dry. I’m a litle dissapointed with the flavor. Flavor and aroma don’t match. Loses points for lack of flavor and rther intense bittering. Probably won’t have again, even though it’s not all that bad. (Rated simultaneously with Lowe1983 in different continents)
