Bottled@HBF2018. Pitch black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, some red wine notes toffee and mild ripe fruitiness. Flavour is liquorice, toffee, alcohol, some chocolate, coffee and mild spiciness to it. Lovely.

Smell of oak, vanilla, red wine. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of oak, vanilla, roasted malt, pepper, liquor. Soft palate. Oily. Sweet.

Tap at Craft Beer Garden Helsinki 2019. Pitch black with lace. Burnt nose of vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate and wood. Sweet chocolate and licorice flavor. Somewhat salty and body is a bit too thin.

0,33l bottle from the brewery shop, Lappeenranta. Very dark brown beer with small head. Aroma has burnt malts, cognac, wood and caramel. Flavor has burnt malts, woody cognac, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Full body, low carbonation. Very nice IS from Tuju!

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 28.2.2022,at Oljenkorsi, 20180716) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vineousness and sweetness. Palate was full bodied, warming and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, wood, vanilla, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy, burnt and bitter. A too boozy imperial stout with some nice notes as well.

33cl bottle, HBF 2018. Bourbon on the nose, vanilla sweetness and roastedness. Flavor has Bourbon, barrel notes, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt. Long finish. Bourbon quite strong.

Bottle at HBF. Opaque colour, small brownish head. Aroma has wood, bourbon, vanilla. Medium-bodied. Bourbon, toasted malts. Vanilla, smooth. Ok.

330ml bottle @ HBF 2018. Pours pitch black with a small bubbly brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, bourbon, vanilla, oak, toffee and hints of syrup. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some bourbon, licorice, wood, oak, vanilla and syrup. Finish is sweetish and heavy with hot bourbony notes, vanilla, oak, licorice, toffee, syrup and chocolate. Okay, sweet and slick, but a bit unbalanced. Loads of woody bourbon here.

Sample from the bottle at HBF2018, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Dryness, coffee, some whiskey, some vineous elements and roasted malts. Quite good. Some peat too..
