Blond and copper-colored, Jambe-de-Bois is a powerful and full-bodied beer. It has a scent of ripe banana and a subtle blend of old varieties of aromatic hops. As for taste, the malt dominates, supported by a long and delicate bitterness. It has 8% alcohol.

Buena tripel.

Thanks Guillaume to give me this bottle, a great pleasure to share this great beverage with my wife. Subtle and smooth tripel, not that boozy for the style, really malty, smooth, fresh malt, fruity, light flavour of apricot, yeasty, bitter😉 15.12.2023

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Golden yellow pour with white head. Sweet malty and yeasty, some caramel, icing sugar, touch big lemon citrus and citric spice, slight spice into the finish.

Tap at the brewpub with the Chefs. Practically a Belgian IPA in some sense, which I’m okay with. The hop character combines nice with tbe phenolics, the aroma is herbal and spicy, the body is medium to full.

33cl bottle.
Hazy yellow pour, big white head.
big aroma of cereals, bitter grains, and some grassy hops.
high carbonation, active mouth feel. Finish was medium bitter, light tropical fruits, and some yeast mixed in with the cereals. A very malty cereal driven triple.

A small bottle from the off-licence opposite the fire station in Jing Mei, two weeks shy of its 'best before...' Aroma: freshly-mown grass. Appearance: opaque amber, one finger off-white cream. Palate: medium-bodied and rather oily, average carbonation, nice hoppy bite at the finish. Taste: lightly sweet with some astringency; labelled 'organic' - I don't know if that confers a particular taste. Flavour is interesting, bags of almond, a surprise hit of peppermint. An enjoyable beverage.

Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is yeasty with fruits, pale malt, touch of floral & grassy hops, citrus, orange, soft spicy notes. Flavour is medium sweet with a relatively bitter and dry-ish finish. Body is a little above medium. Nicely hopped Tripel, works really well for me.

Bottle at ZBF’12, Leuven: Hazy orange coloured brew with an taste of grapefruit, citrus wich give the beer pretty bitter taste. And this Dutchman survived the degustation barely.
