Sample during the "Collaboration Beers On Deck 2!" event on 08/13/2017. Dark brown color with a medium thin tan head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of piney hops, roast malt and chocolate. Full-bodied with flavors of charred malt, dark chocolate and resiny hops. The finish is roasty with a bittersweet chocolate and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
