Enjoyed on draft at Hop and Hound. I love getting this beer each year as it ages one year ahead of me. I guess that means I'm 30 next year. Really nice barrel notes to this. Huge bold roast. Dark fruit. Chocolate. Delicious. Spicy, toasty malt. It's a bit boozy, but nowhere near complaints on a beer of this strength. A bit dry as the toasty malt lingers. Cool whiskey lingers late as well. Surprisingly smooth. Damn good beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of barrels, with some booze, and medium toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bourbon barrels, lots of fruits, and toasted malt. Nice barrel character, and a bit of banana character. Nice stuff.

Dark brown. On the nose, light bourbon, with a mellow chocolate note a whack of alcohol. Fairly strong bourbon note, chocolate, wood, with a little bit of fruitiness. Good complex brew, with rich chooclate.

Pours a luscious black from a bottle, khaki colored head with minimal lacing. Great oaky chocolate aroma. Flavor is good, but I feel like the only notes it's missing are a little more bitterness and nuance, but really this is a special, great beer.

Sampled on draft at Pipers this beer poured a black color with a small foamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was smoke, chocolate and vanilla. The flavor was sweet with vanilla, caramel, toasty malt, salt, cocoa and smoke. Incredibly long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.
