Bottle. Big cinnamon and nutmeg spice nose, orange, caramel malt. Lovely red-brown, glowing, with a full, airy head. Spicy and sweet, fruity, and Christmas all the way. Some caramel and orange, huge nutmeg and cinnamon. Very enjoyable and festive. The spice is a bit over the top for my palate. I would like to have the malt shine through a bit more and a bit more body. Enjoyed it though.

Two Rabbits Merry Rabbit Christmas Ale 9.5% An opaque reddish brown with minimal head but a big fruitful spice aroma with cinnamon and candied fruits well featured. Fairly full bodied with a raspy carbonation with a fruity flavor then big cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Prunes and figs, plus perhaps persimmon. The Club Harie nuts taste like nuts coated in Christmas cookie batter and then baked. Pairing the two gives raisins and softens the spice in the beer. I could picture Santa snacking on this while filling Christmas stockings. Really yummy and snackable. These sets are most likely long gone but 500ml bottles (at 1050¥) are available at Yamaoka in Kyoto. Worth aging I think for next winter. The fact it’s a 500ml bottle is also cool.
