Farmhouse Lager is a lighter version of our long-time brew, Avant Garde. It is our first foray into the 12oz bottle/six-pack world, as we have been mostly known for large format (750ml bottles). Still beginning with an initial malt sweetness and a subtle hop presence, this lager finishes smooth and crisp. Perfect for an evening out on your porch or with some fresh baked bread pulled straight from the oven. (aka Farmhouse Rustic Lager)

Pours a nice clear dark amber from a bottle. Crispy, hoppy, graay aroma and flavor. Good malt bill. Nice American take on an Old World classic. Pretty good beer.

Eh ok. Crisp but with the lost Abbey name I expected more.

On tap at the brewery. Dark golden with a small white head. Kind of soft and easy to drink with malt, some citrus and light grain. The finish was medium bitter.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a rich baked bread grain. Flavor is some sweet bread dough with sulfur and bitterness at the end. This is a very rich and malty lager but also kind of refreshing at the same time.

12 oz capped bottle, that resulted in a double take when I saw it at the bottle shop. These will be require getting used to, haha. I'm on board though. I usually get a quality product from these guys, and I can always appreciate a well made lager at a low price. Cheers to spending less money on beer, without sacrificing quality here in 2018! A clean and clear golden pour with a patchy fizz head. A mostly cool and crisp lager that pairs well with some early day football on TV. A light hop impression on the floral side. An aroma to this lager that's much more noticeable and enjoyable than other lagers. I really need to seek out more keller/zwickel. Either that or more brewers need to make them. Solid, very enjoyable lager here.

29th Dec 2017, 16 oz draft pour into a plastic cup at a bar inside San Diego Safari Park. Slight haze to the orange coloured body, short lasting white head. Ideal beer after yomping around looking at animals for hours on end. Light malty base with a balanced hop bitterness in the taste, poured very cold, so no real aroma, floral maybe as it warmed a little (it didn't have much time to warm, I was bloody thirsty).
