Flaska drucken på Bishop Gustav, Malmö. Ganska söt IS med stor kropp med massor av choklad, snygga fat toner med vanilj och bourbon. Riktigt gott.

Tap at Flying Saucer Emporium, Memphis. Colour is almost black with very small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Some bourbon, some vineous elements, some berries, chocolate and roasted malts. Not massive, pretty easy BBA but I like drinkability.

22 oz bottle poured, as the first beer of 2017. Pairing Michigan beer with Michigan football for some good luck. Bottled 10/14/16. Dark red tinted black pour with a lasting tan cream head. A nice, chocolatey aroma. Incredible. Creamy, milky vanilla chocolate flavor, very smooth bourbon addition. So much chocolate here. An amazing drink. Worth the wait for this to finally reach WA. Very nice stout.

Bottle from a trade. Many thanks! Dark brown/black colour, beige/brown head. Sweet nose of vanilla, bourbon. Roasty, bitter coffee. On the sweet side. Not bad!

Poured from a 22 oz bottle, 2012 vintage (another bottle I forgot about in the cellar). Aroma is fairly chocolate forward with medium light roast notes. Some light honey and sherry notes from the oxidation. Light bourbon and faint oak notes. Hints of dark fruit and raisin. Light caramel, toffee and leather. Pours dark brown to a lighter black with a medium small, moderately thick, dark tan head that recedes somewhat quickly to the edges where a small film lingers for a bit. Light lacing and medium small legs. Flavor has a medium to medium light sweetness. Moderately strong chocolate notes, both milk and dark, with some lighter roast notes. Even lighter caramel, toffee, and leather notes. Light oxidation with a touch of honey and some light sherry notes. Light bourbon and faint oak notes. Some faint alcohol spice. Light raisin, plum and prune notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied to full bodied and somewhat creamy with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, better than I was expecting, especially with the age. Great chocolate notes with good secondary malt characteristics. Some dark fruit and bourbon notes.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, vanilla and soft roast. Taste has salty licorice, subtle whiskey, soft cream and chocolate. It?s a bit thin, needs more body and way more bourbon.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo (I think) sat in mums and Keiths new house, Kempsey, Nr Worcester, Friday 16th September 2016 Pours black with a filmy head, soft in the mouth, boozy with some heat, soft in the mouth, yes the bourbon really does stamp out its mark all over this beer. The usual attributes from this style are present, it’s just they are flooded out by Bourbon. Fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 OV13 3.2
