Tap at the brewery tap. Pale yellow colour with a white head. Not a huge amount of aroma. Taste is nice and crisp with a wheaty finish. Medium carbonation. Not that exciting, but nice enough pilsner.

Keg at Starboard - Kobe. Pours clear, pale yellow with a fluffy, pure white head: simple dried cereal in the nose, faint apple, hay. Light sweet flavour with crispy cereal and biscuits, a little dough and honey, low bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Simple finish, some honeycomb, pale bread, more biscuits, cereal, slight bitter straw. Very basic.

At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, clear deepish yellow color, light malty aroma, bready malty flavor, ligh and a bit coarse bitterness. Drinkable but not really exciting.

Re-rate 6/16: Bottle shared at a tasting at Alexey & Raphaela’s place. Thanks mom for this bottle! Clear yellow. Grainy aroma with malt and some apples (acetaldehyde). Flavor has some grainy malt, a bit of apples, and a mildly bitterish finish. Rather light-bodied. Drinkable. Better than last time. 4/3/4/3/8=2.2
Bottle shared at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks mom for this bottle! Hazy yellow. Sourish aroma of yeast, vegetables and a bit of fruits. Sourish flavor with yeast, sour vegetables, a bit of fruits, graininess, and a bitterish touch in the finish. Light-bodied. Spoiled. 3/3/4/2/6=1.8

On tap as part of a tasting set at Rokko Beer Dinner, 1500 yen for 8 small glasses. Both this and the Ikigari Nami pilsner were ridiculously pale gold, too pale for my taste. This had a thinner more evenly filmy head of foam. The aroma is grassy, slightly bitter with a yeasty sweet taste, hints of carboard but overall not too bad.
