On tap and a bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head. A light cocoa and big chocolate nose. Similar flavors; rich, sweet, clear roasted tea. Lovely.

Thanks Shuichi for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing dark brown with very sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of houjicha, umami, and adzuki bean. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Light notes of burnt tea and roasted malt with a mild coffee tartness and light lactose sweetness. Moderate earl grey bitterness on the finish.

Tap at the release party. Muddy brown, not pretty. Nose is chocolate, hojicha, caramel. Flavor is big on roasted tea, which I like a lot and goes well with the stout character but maybe is a bit too full-on. Crisp and light. Enjoyable. Could soon be awesome.

6.5% 22 IBU Tap at the brewery during the launch party. I was told this is the same recipe as the previous Chabeer Roasted Green Tea Milk Stout that was contract brewed elsewhere. Milky brown verging on black, the aroma is sweet houjicha latte with milk chocolate notes. Smooth medium body and good flavor. Really nice.
