Tap at Kamikaze. Deep orange, hazy. Nose is lemon and malts, bready, a bit like limoncello. Flavor is lemon, a bit candyish and fake, a bit raspy in the finish. I was expecting to hate it, but didn't. Didn't much like it either.

Evolution Craft Brewing Co. Hops Limón IPA 68% 65 IBU

An opaque orange gold with a thick off-white head and a huge sweet lemon aroma. Up close, the malts lend it a kind of breakfast cereal toasty background so I think you could see the aroma as some kind of delicious lemon breakfast bar.

Medium bodied with a raspy bitter finish. The initial taste is sweet malts, lemon drops ending with woodsy pine. A satisfying IPA.

12 ounces of bottle from a Kroger. Hazy amber, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, lemon candy, pale malt. The taste is lemon, lemonade, lemon pith, pale malt. Medium bodied, crisp, lingering bitterness. Quite nice.

Mellow copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall, pure white head. Aroma of crisp citrus, a bit of grain and biscuity malts and a good deal of hops - not in terms of bitter, but more of character - especially the citrus and light tropical fruits. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and yeast notes at first that give way to a mellow and understated hop note, mainly with the citrus and light herbal notes, but no bitterness at all - very mellow. Aftertaste is dry and grassy with a little bit of citrus and an even smaller amount of hop bitterness, but some biscuity malts and grain noticeable as well and a tiny bit of sugars. Overall, a decent beer with some good flavour profiles, but nothing in terms of an IPA or hoppiness, just the flavours, but not the pungency or character at all that you'd expect from the style. Nice to try and a decent enough beer, but this shows more of an APA or Amber Ale than an IPA. I wouldn't go out of my way to try or find this beer, but if you like citrus and dry beers, than it may be for you. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia for US$2,49 sampled at home right next to the store in Washington on 22-September-2017.
