How about cofman repeating the description over and over again below, just like a fricken untapped dude. Go back to untppd dude. But anyway, this beer is big and black, schartz. Smooth black beer nose. Taste is yes, seems more like a schrawtz, not like a coffee. There is some coffee in there but its not in yer face like so many coffee beers. Its civilized and well balanced, the coffee does not affect the overall pleasure of the beer. Decent. Civilized. Easy on the palate, thanks sammy.

Pours a deep dark brown from a bottle. Not a lot of coffee in this one, just more of a general dark chocolate malt aroma and flavor. Okay beer.

Dark brown color modest tan head. Nose is coffee, a little nutty, sort of roasted nuts. Fizzy prickly palate, light coffee flavors, bitter chocolate, clean finish, very light hop bitterness.

Bottle part of 12 pack mixer. Nice looking brew dark brownish black one finger head. Nose is coffee and caramel. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, hay, pine nuts, licorice. Smooth palate maybe a tad watery.

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a a decent instant coffee with a little roasted malt. Flavor is more of your typical scwarzbier with some toasted char malt. Not that there is anything wrong white the beer but the coffee kinds of gets lost. One of those beers where if it did not say coffee on the label you may not know it was even used. Good base beer but not a huge coffee.

Bottle. Milk, coffee, chocolate malt, ash, and hay aroma. Chestnut brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Pretty nice.

Okay schwarzbier, unexpectedly weaker and less complex than Sam’s regular Black Lager, housing a decent swipe of java and roasted malt but still coming across too light and superficial to really bring out the dark beer goodness you want. Gains hints of apple and hoppy bitterness on the back end, accented by a mild coffee acidity. Mediocre pour comes out dark brown with a weak head and slight lacing. Modest coffee and chocolate on the nose. Good, crisp lager feel helps. Alright beer, I guess.

12oz bottle-tan/lt brown-mahogany. A-coffee/chicory/anise-med/dk malt. T-follows, 2nd hop bite allows for a crisp finish. 737413-3.4

12oz bottle. Big ups to CharmCityCrab for letting me know about this brewery. Roasty chocolate coffee aroma. Medium bodied, easy drinking. A pretty decent merging of a Coffee beer and a Schwarz. Clean, well made, balanced.
