Bottle. Dark brown/black with a nice but short-lived beige head. Loads of lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, espresso and a little bit of dark chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, some coffee, dried dark fruits and dark chocolate. Roasty bitterness. Medium carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden but still present. Balanced. I really like the base beer and this is an enjoyable supplement.

Tap in Störtebekers tasteshop in the Elbphilharmonie. Darkest brown, super stable creamy brown head - as if it has been Stachelt. Roasty nose, licorice iodine, seaweed, sea foam. Medium to full creamy body. Chocolate mousse, milk choc, some sugar, salt licorice foam finish. Very pleasant balance, flavorful yet subtle.

0,33 l bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours out dark brown, little bit oily, small beige head. Sweet malty alcoholic smell. Taste starts with more sweet malt. Very smooth. Low fruitieness in the background. Low roasty. Low coffee. Children cough dropy (you know what I mean?). Very easy drinking stuff. Dangerous.

0.33 l bottle from the brewery’s web shop, best before October 2018. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of milk chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla and sweet coffee. Very sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, hazelnut, sweet coffee, some vanilla and hints of licorice, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy finish with a touch of coconut and prunes. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Fairly sweet and a bit one-dimensional, but also quite intense with a pleasant mouthfeel.

Gut. 11/11/10/11/11/11
