Together we’re brewing a riff on the flavors of the classic raspberry ice cream sundae. This beer features raspberry, cocoa and vanilla, in addition to lactose (an unfermentable sugar) that adds a richness and a sweetness, helping to blend and meld the flavors of this ultra-complex beer together. It’s been a true pleasure to work with artists at The Bruery using ingredients and techniques outside of our normal wheelhouse.

Bottle shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a clear deep gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet raspberry with sweet grains and a bit of vanilla underlying. Flavor has sweet raspberry with some vanilla and sweet grains supporting.

This is a beer I probably would have loved 20 years ago. Reminds me of Spanish Peaks Raspberry Ale.

Bottle: Cloudy amber with a thin tan head. Raspberry, cream aroma. Taste is as advertised....definitely sundae-like....but followed by a rather rough texture and alcohol note. Nice scent, but it didn't do much more for me beyond that.

Part of the sampler. Clear garnet with pinkish white head. Raspberry takes an artificial flavor and there is a sweet cloying aspect to this beer.

12 ounce bottle. Orange copper color. Moderate frothy beige head. Sweet, fruity malt nose. Hints of coco and red berries. Flavor follows nose with notes of cocoa and vanilla. Creamy mouthfeel. Sticky malt finish. Quite unique.

Bottle. Amber-brown beer with a dark cream head. Raspberry and light malt aroma. Raspberry and lactose flavor with light malt and light cocoa. Medium bodied. Raspberry and lactose lingers with cocoa.

12 oz bottle from the 2017 mix pack, bought at work. Pours clear amber with a one finger off-white head with a pinkish tint; decent head retention and some lace. Aroma of raspberries, chocolate, vanilla, a bit boozy. Taste is lightly sweet with lightly tart raspberry influence with flavors matching the aroma. The base beer seems to be a basic, bordering on generic, Belgian-influenced ale. The mouthfeel is nice and creamy with tight compact bubbles. Not bad, but probably my least favorite beer in this mix pack.

Mild aroma, maybe raspberry and cardboard. Clear copper, thin head. Milk chocolate, cherries. Full body, easy carbonation. Interesting beer, not usually the type of thing I go for, but it came up out nice. Well crafted. Could be more aromatic.

Bottle. Clear dark amber with a generous mostly white head. The aroma is raspberry a bit of chocolate and bubble bath. The flavor has a bit more chocolate than raspberry, Sweet, medium body. OK but nothing special.
