It’s good! Malty, caramel. Good stuff.

Bottle from KBL. Thanks! Nice toasty malt nose, caramel, bread, stone fruit. Hazy amber color. Low head. Bready, malty, nice fruits, like peach and apricot, low sweetness and just a bit of caramel, rather dry, really. Med to high carbonation. Dry frinish with some earth. Another good German beer from them. Maybe not as fresh as it could be.

Baeren Hundred Years Beer 5% Part of my Father’s Day set from the brewery. It’s a deep orange brown color with a very light beige head. Very malty bready sweet aroma, so much that at first I thought it might be off. Dusty freshly milled malt and sticky wort is the image in my mind when I get a whiff of this beer a few minutes after opening it. Medium to full bodied, smooth and luscious texture. The taste is big on bready caramel and creamy texture malts. As it warmed I got a honeyed graham kind of malt character from it. It paired well with Japanese curry. A surprise but a good one.
