Tap at Gremlin. Nice coffee roastiness, good stuff. As usual, it's all about the coffee but there's a bit of maltiness going in. Like it. Some of the green pepper thing they had in the last coffee IPA. Nice.

Tap at Gifu Beer Matsuri 2017. Nice coffee nose, nutty, lemony hops. Amber-orange color. Very nice fruits, citrus hops, and the coffee merges with the hops better than any other pale coffee beer I have tried. Very nice. 7/3/8/4/15

A coffee IPA that is a mellow opaque gold with w thick head of foam and a light coffee bean aroma. Huge coffee flavor, some milky lactose sweetness but I don’t perceive anything at all IPA like about it beyond the color.
The verdict:
As a coffee beer - success!
As an IPA - FAIL!
3 as an IPA as a beer 3.6 so I split the difference and gave it a 3.3 ----> I had it again at the Gifu Fest and with time the strength of the coffee is weakening faster than the hops so you can actually start to pick up on them. Moving in the right direction...
