Bottle from Taniguchi. Amber orange in color, it was medium to full bodied. Tart sweet cork and green apples in the aroma. Not what it should be but kind of interesting. Others I shared it with didn’t enjoy it so much, I found it drinkable and fine but not at all what you’d expect a non-sour BA beer to be.

bomber. Nose of green apple, wood, caramel, soem chocolate, cabbage, cork, mold. Cloudy pale brown. Flavor is sour green apples, some caramel, not much cherry, tons of acetaldehyde. Very badly done.

massive red wine vinegar sour nose with big oak character. No head low carbonation. The body is too light for barrel aged. Very malty with modest sourness. Almost sour and oak dominate. The body is too thin but good stuff.

On tap at Hitachino Brewing Lab, Tokyo. Glowing, deep amber, slightly hazy, with a modest off-white head. Strange thing, wooden notes are quite obvious. Some slightly floral and fruity notes present too. I get both hints of whisky and cherries. Certainly confusing. More interesting than delicious, but certainly decent.
