Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet bready nose. Toast, citrus, breast. Decent. Drinkable.

Nice golden with a frothy head - that does not really stay longer than a few seconds. Aroma is fruity-sourish, not that special - and not that bad either. Sour berries. Taste is actually very nice. Initial bready malt character turns into fruity sip that goes down easily and is actually quite pleasant. Not very hoppy, but very smooth and actually with some character. Aftertaste has some artificial-feeling bitterness but still, probably my favourite Kirin beer.

Bottle at the site in Kyoto - picked up at Don Quixote in Tokyo. Pours clear yellow-gold with a big, foamy white head. The aroma has some crispy pale malts, light citrus accents, hay, perhaps pine needles. Light to medium sweet flavour with moderate grassy bitterness, some citrus rind, biscuits, straw. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, more dry pale bread, a little honey, more biscuits, faint citrusy jam. Enjoyable beer.

Drank from the bottle during cherry blossom viewing. Malty, sweet biscuit nose with grass and some citrus hops. Lemony, sweet flavor with a bit of peppery hops. Decent enough.
