Keg at Extra Hop, Palermo, 04/10/17. Murky light black with a moderate tan swirl. Nose is earthy fruit rinds, dusty, toffee, stale chocolate biscuits. Taste comprises fruit cake, chocolate, spice, toffee, cocoa rub, earthy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. So so stout ... a touch musty and dusty ... a good few notches below the half a dozen or so other Eastside beers I had this evening.

Hand pump at Il Punto. Nose of cocoa, coffee. Dull black with lace. Flavor os the sea, oyster, lots of cocoa. Very thin and a bit watery with a dry, thin, finish. Prehaps a bit too old.

Draught No head left, cloudy brown-black beer. Liquorice, mushrooms (raw), bit of cold coffee. Dry, roasted flavour, bit mineral. Nutty too, in a non-sweet way. Light bodied. Slick, but still a watery impression. Light, if decent stout.
