Bottle from the series. Interesting, much more wheaty than the regular version, light, high on maltiness, something a little funky there. Yeast makes an interesting difference. Will revisit this one too. Think I marginally preferred the regular version.

I thought I’d rated this already. I chose to serve it in my pilsner glass where it was a lightly opaque gold with a head of soapy foam that didn’t linger all that long. Bready malts with earthy and herbal hoppiness featuring pepper, hay and, grass. Light bodied and dry. The taste is herbs, grass, hay, earthy. It’s almost piquante - really nice but I find the flavor profile a touch more aggressive than the regular Helles. That version I drank my way through faster.

Bottle. Mail order from the brewery. Filled 6 days ago. Bready, slightly doughy nose, a bit more yeasty than the filtered version. Chewy. Light herbal hops. Medium gold, quite cloudy, glowing a bit, medium, airy head. Bready, lemony, dough. Seems fuller and slightly less sweet than the filtered version, with a prickly, peppery hop finish. Nicely spicy. Very nice drinking beer.
