We are fortunate to brew beer in a truly peaceful place. Occasionally, on this old hop farm, tucked into a secluded valley near the source of the Susquehanna, one can find real tranquility, when the noise and cares of the world seem to fall away.

Nirvana IPA is made for those moments. Seven different hop varietals deliver an exalted array of piney aromas and juicy flavors, balanced by a gentle snap of bitterness on the long, dry finish.

May each sip offer a window to a better state of mind.

Old rating from 05-07-16 - A 355 ml bottle brought back from New York City. Pours a hazy amber colour with a white head. Aromas of lemon, peach, grapefruit with hints of pine as well as citrus hops and biscuit malt. Tastes of lemon, grapefruit, apricot, peach & biscuit malt. Medium dry crisp body. The citrus hops lead to a bitterness that is moderate initially and intensifies through to the finish.

Big pounder can from my son in law as a gift. Thank you big ben. Nose is mildly candy, almost hints of sweety candylike higher alky beer. First taste is big bitter hoppy bastard, like any other on style IPA. Initially seems to be quite hoppy fresh in its character. Bitterness manifests itself into the back of the throaty, yes on style for this IPA BS. How many IPA can you make in the world to be able to say its a macro? Just asking. Getting a bit europhobicly euphoric near the middle, a little boozy in its behavior considering its only 6.5. Eye is a touch orange, but mostly yellow and pale hazy. Ommegang, goes to Cooperstown and then, guess what? Yer in the old country, must be a space warp er sumthin. There you have it. At least it has some co2 to give it basic refreshment notes.
