Bottle, thanks Raul. Aroma is boozy, marzipan, fruit, apricot. Taste is wood, wheaty, fruit, dry, lots of booze, smooth. Nice. Can't find the whisky so much but can feel it. Quite earthy, apples.

Bottle from the brewery. A deep reddish brown with a rich a biscuit and fruity raisin malt and rich sherry. The taste is rich malty treacle/maple with a chocolate syrup and bready malts with oak and barrel plus lots of sweetness. Quite good with great balance and you didn’t get the alcohol at all making it dangerously drinkable.

Bottle. Nose of caramel, toffee, sherry. Orange-brown with lace; flat. Sweet toffee flavor, wine, raisins, nectarines. Some hop finish. Too flat, slightly boozy, but nice. Get more wood than sherry itself. One of the better of this series.

Pours medium brown. Bit of foam but not much. Aroma is bit alcoholic, sweet and bitter. Sticky and fit for a skiing holiday. Taste is sort of bitterness, light actually for a barleywine although malty body is also there. Sweet and bitter at the same time. Good stuff, most likely could use a bit of more ageing,

deep mahogany color. Sweet malty nose with sherry, caramel, chocolate, and apricot and whisky. Full body, with rich maltiness with decent sherry and whisky, but needs a lot more time. Still very nice

Thanks to jinroh for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip taster showing translucent caramel center with clear rims. The nose shows a lot of sweet barley. The palate is full bodied and light carbonation. Flavors of sweet barley and a moderate heat from the alcohol. Simple but a solid barley wine.
