Johanna Hikiyama Black Black IPA 600¥ take out tap in crowded Omicho Market. This dark brew is t ok ashy and creamy with mild piney hop notes. Solid brew though the hops are take for a black ipa.

Keyaki. Aroma is rose petal, floral, some roast. Taste is decent. Roasty, some soy sauce. Light bitterness.

Yeasty medium brown. Thick head. Fairly toasty, touch of fruity hop, touch of diacetyl. Toasty, bit of chocolatey sweetness...again finding a touch of diacetyl under there but barely perceptible. Good but the clumsy elements are disappointing.

Dark brown color. Lots of chocolate cake, fudge with citrus notes in the nose. Excellent fudge character with roasted malts in the mouth but modest hoppiness. Dry, really well balanced and sessionalble session black IPA

Tap at Keyaki. Dark brown with lace. Nose of chocolate, licorice, orange, coffee, decent. Nice hoppy citrus flavor, chocolate, spices, decent. Nicely rough, bitter finish.
