Tap at the Asahi dry beer hall in Tokyo. Don't know why this is premium labelled, tastes as av as the normal stuff.

16 ounce can. Listed as Houjou only. Pours a bright orange color with a large white head. A light bready earthy head. Sweet, corn, more bready malts. Fairly drinkable, pretty solid cheap beer.

Asahi Dry Premium Houjou 6.5% The classic deep gold of a macro with a soapy head of foam. The aroma isn't half-bad: bready, sweet, a dab of spice but if smells a little too sweet for me. The taste is kind of middle of the road but with a decent mouthfeel and a good dryness in the finish. The initial flavor is that slick syrupy sweetness I associate with macro-lagers but then the lightly bitter and very dry character kicks in which saves this beer from getting cloying. It's alright though I don't really see why this needed to be 6.5%, it could just as easily been 5%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from the super market. Deep gold with orange tints, clear, tall, fine head. Nose has a bit of citrus / orange, and very thin malts. Flavor is lemony, dry, thin, ok bitterness. Not much malt character, though the strength gives a bit of body and taste to this "dry" style. bit boozy too.
