330ml bottle shared with blackhaddock in his beer cave. Pours dark with a good pale tan head. Roasty aroma greeting you on the nose. Good roasty stout overall, with prominent malt grain, medium to light bodied.. decent.

Tap @ Kamikatz Taproom, Tokyo. Pours dark brown, a bit of beige head that reduces to a thin film quite quickly. Nose soapy, some roast malt character still there but relatively muted. Berries. Taste has more berries, milky roast, some bitterness. Not too bad but well, van't really understand that medal they so proudly present here in the taproom, does not feel like that level.

Bottle, 330 ml, trade with TimE. Pours brown with light brownish head. Bit roasted, coffeeish, chocolate, some lactic notes, lacks body. Smooth, simple brew. OK, could be much better.

Tap at GJBF 2016, not quite as nice looking as the Chatan Stout but it is a decent looking brown with a light beige head with a more potent tangy sweet fruity aroma. Nice round medium body, good carbonation with a semi-dry finish. The taste is fruity (stone fruit), dark chocolate. Not what I was expected as it is fruitier than most stouts but pretty good.

very dark brown color. Light brown head. Sweetish malty with slightly chocolate nose. The mouth is chocolate sweet with some coffee in the background. Definitely more of a porter than stout. Medium body but a bit simple though well made enough. . A bit of lactose

Tap at the brewpub. Rich, malty chocolate and sweet potato. not overly sweet, but nice balance overall. Dry finish, slight minerals. Much, much better than the last bottle, and the roasted sweet potato is a very nice touch. Bottled, March 2016. Pretty head on cloudy black beer. Dry, minerally nose, coffee, some chocolate. Dry and mineral flavor too, with cocoa. Ok, but a bit bland, and thin body. 5/3/6/3/11
